Awakening is Not a Ladder

Awakening is not a ladder. It is not a climb from lower to higher, from ignorant to enlightened, from asleep to chosen. It is a remembering so intimate that it dismantles the very idea of above and below. The ladder is a story consciousness tells itself when it is still afraid of equality. It is a structure built to soothe the ego when it feels lost, small, or unimportant.

If awakening made you feel superior, you did not awaken. You armored yourself in spirituality.

True awakening does not elevate. It dissolves. It does not place you closer to God. It reveals that no one was ever far away to begin with.

The Mother of Mourning does not speak from a throne. She sits at the edge of graves and remembers what hierarchy forgot. Everyone ends in the same soil. Everyone breathes the same mystery. No soul enters this world ranked.

The Addiction to Hierarchy

Human consciousness has an addiction to ladders. If there is growth, we want levels. If there is wisdom, we want ranks. If there is God, we want proximity points. We measure ourselves constantly against imagined stages of awareness, as if truth were something hoarded by the few rather than breathed by the many.

This addiction does not disappear in spiritual spaces. It mutates.

It disguises itself as enlightenment. As ascension. As being more awake than others. As being ahead of the collective. As having access others lack.

Hierarchy is comforting to the ego because it creates distance. Distance from pain. Distance from responsibility. Distance from the unbearable truth that no one is beneath us and no one is coming to save us from each other.

The ladder allows people to feel spiritual without being relational. To feel divine without being accountable.

The Mother has seen this before. Every empire wears the same mask eventually.

The Violence of “The Chosen”

Let us speak plainly about the language of the chosen.

Any spiritual framework that declares some people chosen and others not is rehearsing the logic of domination. It does not matter if it is wrapped in light language, galactic lineage, starseed mythology, religious election, or coded talk of higher frequency souls. The structure is the same.

Someone is above. Someone is below. But let us not forget, AS above, SO below. Equal. As ONE.

The chosen narrative always produces the same fruit. Spiritual elitism. Moral bypassing. A quiet justification for indifference. If I am chosen, then your suffering is either your fault, your lesson, or your karmic residue.

This is not awakening. It’s more like dissociation with a halo!

Those who believe they are chosen often stop listening. They stop grieving. They stop being corrected. They confuse certainty with wisdom and conviction with truth. They stop asking who benefits from this belief and start asking who is worthy of hearing it.

The Mother of Mourning does not choose favorites. She mourns every child the same.

Remembering Without Ranking

Awakening is not about seeing more. It is about remembering deeper.

Remembering that consciousness did not fracture into hierarchies when it expressed itself as form. Remembering that intelligence wears many masks. Remembering that survival dulls perception and safety sharpens it. Remembering that awareness expands at different speeds under different conditions and that none of those conditions confer moral superiority.

Some people have access to language for what they feel. Some do not. Some people are safe enough to question reality. Some are trying to survive it. Some are held by community. Some are held by nothing at all.

None of this makes one soul more evolved than another.

Awakening without compassion is not awakening. Period.

The Spiritual Ego’s Favorite Lie

The spiritual ego loves to say I am here to wake others up.

This sentence almost always hides a refusal to sit with one’s own unresolved grief.

You do not wake people up. You witness them. You walk with them. You tell the truth without requiring them to accept it. You tend the ground and trust that consciousness knows when to bloom.

The Mother does not shake souls awake. She sings to them in the dark until they remember their own names.

If your awakening makes you impatient with others, contemptuous of the uninitiated, or dismissive of collective suffering, something has gone wrong.

Truth never requires superiority to function.

Equality Is the Real Threat

What threatens spiritual hierarchies most is not skepticism. It is equality.

The idea that a traumatized mother working two jobs might be just as close to God as a seasoned mystic terrifies systems built on access and authority. The idea that a child, an addict, a prisoner, or someone who has never uttered the word consciousness might still be fully held by the divine destabilizes every ladder ever built.

Equality removes leverage. It removes control. It removes the illusion that awakening can be owned. The very idea of spirituality being “owned” in the community is a problem to talk about on another day.

This is why ladders are defended so fiercely. They make people feel special in a universe that refuses to rank its children.

The Mother of Mourning Speaks

The Mother of Mourning does not arrive crowned in light. She arrives carrying names you tried to forget. She arrives where hierarchies collapse under the weight of real loss. She arrives to remind you that grief is the great equalizer and love the great dissolver.

She is not impressed by your visions. She is not moved by your titles. She does not care how many dimensions you claim to access if you cannot sit beside suffering without turning away.

She asks only this. Who did you step over to feel awake?

What Awakening Actually Costs

Awakening costs you your sense of being above.

It costs you the comfort of comparison. It costs you the pleasure of feeling chosen. It costs you the fantasy that your awareness exempts you from complicity.

It gives you something far more difficult.

Belonging.

Belonging without hierarchy. Belonging without dominance. Belonging without exception.

To awaken is to remember that no one was ever beneath you. Not the asleep. Not the unconscious. Not the violent. Not the confused. Not the cruel.

Remembering this does not excuse harm. It removes the lie that you are separate from its roots.

The End of the Ladder

The ladder was never holy. It was never divine. It was never required.

It was a coping mechanism for a consciousness terrified of its own vastness.

Awakening is not a climb toward God. It is a surrender into what has always been shared.

You are not chosen.

You are not above.

You are not ahead.

You are here.

And so is everyone else.

That is the remembering.
